Quote of the Week #4

Sir Percy: If we are to succeed, we must maintain our anonymity, mask our identities. Even if it means suffering the mockery of others. Being taken for fools, fops, nitwits, even cowards.
Lord Timothy Hastings: That's the easy part. The hard part's not being able to boast about our exploits to the ladies.

Here's when I go: I LOVE PERCY! And I love Hastings too, but I have not quite forgiven Whats-his-name the screenwriter for calling him Lord Timothy.

Sorry, random rant. But onto a more cheerful subject, can you imagine what a mess it would have been if anyone but Anthony Andrews had said those lines of Percy's?

Percy, we looooooooooove you, oh yes we dooooooo,
We don't love anyone as much as yooooooou.
When you're not near us, we're bluuuuuuuuuue!
Oh, Percy, we love yoooooooou.

And YES - only Anthony Andrews could pull of that face during the "suffering the mockery of others" part. ;-)

Heehee... I LOVE that scene!! : )

Maria - I know!! So happy AA was cast as Sir Percy. He really IS Percy.

Alexandra - HA!! Didn't know you were a poet...

Still looking up stuff for the TSP1982 Project and trying to figure out what we can do... : P

Eowyn - yay!!! So glad you are. I have been soooooooooooo busy (and will be the rest of the summer) so I haven't really gotten the chance to look anything new up. Feel terrible about it, but it's life, I guess. :) So I'm glad someone is! Keep up the good work! :)

Ooops... I KNEW the Lord Timothy Hastings didn't look right... I think I'm going to change the post tags. Heehee. Stupid screenwriters.
(Oh, well, we can't bash them too much--after all, they gave us eleven Sink Me's. Heehee.)

And I wish I could have found a picture of That Face Ally was talking about. Sigh. Love it.

Oh, and Ally, that poem was Genius of a Great and Alarming Nature. Do put it to music and it can be the Leaguettes' Theme Song. :P

Amy- yes, we Leaguettes should definitely make that poem our theme song! Also, I love that quote! Ah, dear Percy! *sighs*

Everyone else has said it already but I have to add my agreement, I LOVE PERCY IN THIS SCENE!!!!!!!!!!!

I must say, when I first saw the movie I heard Hastings' first name and went, "WHAT?!! Lord WHO?"!!

Alexandra - Have you seen the Narnia movies? The reason they haven't been made any more is because the rights expired... just like TSP1982. So I emailed NarniaWeb (one of my favorite sites because they keep you up-to-date on the Narnia movie news) and they emailed me back. (YAHOO!!! *Mr. Collins jig*) I'll post their exact reply on the TSP1982 Project page.
